JImmy Conner

Pastor. Bible Teacher. Author.

For decades, Jimmy Conner has helped believers break free from the cloud of guilt and walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for them. His new book, Sin and the Human Conscience, is the culmination of a lifelong study of Scripture and a deep love for the local church.

A Heart for the Local Church

Jimmy Conner never set out to write a book. What began as a personal study, a deep dive into a subject he felt the church had neglected, soon became a life-changing revelation. The more he searched the Scriptures, the more he realized that the conscience is not a minor footnote in Christian theology. It is central to how we walk with God, how we hear His voice, and how we experience either freedom or bondage in our daily lives.

Over the years, Jimmy has watched too many sincere believers live under a cloud of guilt. They confess their sins, they pray, they attend church, and yet they wake up every morning feeling like they have already failed God before the day even begins. Sin and the Human Conscience is his answer to that struggle: a practical, pastoral, and thoroughly biblical guide to understanding, guarding, and purifying the moral compass God placed inside every human being.

Ministry, Family, and a Life of Service

Jimmy Conner has spent his life in ministry, serving as a pastor, music minister, and Bible teacher across numerous locations. He is grateful to the pastors, teachers, and employers who “gave him opportunities” to grow and learn, and to the students and parishioners who submitted to his leadership and put up with his mistakes and crazy humor.

He is married to his “mainstay,” Glenda F. Conner, a woman of many gifts and great generosity of spirit. Together they have three children, who were nurtured in righteousness. Jimmy’s dedication page reads: “To every believer who has ever felt weighed down by guilt, this is your invitation to walk free.”

Why He Wrote This Book

“What I discovered in the Word changed everything for me. The blood of Jesus does not just cover sin; it purges the conscience from sin consciousness. The writer of Hebrews says it plainly: worshippers once purged should have no more conscience of sins. Not fewer sins. Not smaller sins. No more conscience of sins at all. That is a radical statement, but it is the truth.” — Jimmy Conner
